Acoustic Emission Testing
Detect friction, leaks and early damage through high-frequency stress waves.

About Acoustic Emission Testing
Acoustic emission testing listens for the very high-frequency stress waves produced when materials rub, crack or leak. Because these signals appear very early, the technique is well suited to slow-speed machinery and to structures where ordinary vibration measurements are less effective.
Our team uses acoustic emission to support condition monitoring programmes and to investigate suspected problems that other methods cannot confirm.
What it helps find or fix
- Early bearing damage
- Lack of lubrication and friction
- Leaks in pressurised systems
- Crack growth and structural defects
Benefits
- Detect problems at a very early stage
- Useful on slow-speed machines
- Non-intrusive, can be done while equipment runs
- Adds confidence to other test results
