About Modal Analysis
Every structure has natural frequencies at which it vibrates easily. If a machine or its supports have a natural frequency close to an operating speed, vibration can be amplified strongly. Modal analysis measures these natural frequencies and the way the structure moves at each of them.
NTI Solutions uses modal testing to confirm or rule out resonance, and to decide whether a change in stiffness, mass or support will solve the problem.
